These cameras allow you to plug them into your existing computer network with out have to run additiona cabeling.
These are powered by POE (Power Over Ethernet) Switches which eliminate the need for additional camera power supplies. (thus saving you money)
Here is a Diagram showing how any computer on a Local Area Network (LAN) can connect directly to a IP Camera and view it live. Via the same network you can connect to either a server or computer to where the cameras are recording to to view recorded footage.
